Dr. Maurice “Dr. Mo” Brownlee is a visionary healthcare leader and the President and CEO of Wellness Home of Chicago. He founded the organization to dismantle health disparities and ensure equitable access to comprehensive care for all. As a driving force in integrated healthcare, Dr. Brownlee has expanded Wellness Home of Chicago’s services to include primary care, behavioral health, and specialized community programs.
His strategic leadership, informed by a Doctorate in Business Administration and specialized HIV/AIDS training from Duke University, positions Wellness Home of Chicago as a national model for inclusive healthcare excellence. Dr. Brownlee is a champion for social justice, actively forging community partnerships to build a healthier, more equitable future.
Isaac Luna brings nearly two decades of experience in healthcare, advancing from front desk roles to Medical Assistant, Clinical Manager, and Coordinator for the Chief Wellness Officer/Medical Director. Now serving as the Chief of Staff for Malenesss, a non-profit organization, Isaac leverages his extensive background in healthcare operations, patient care, and administrative leadership to drive strategic initiatives, optimize organizational efficiency, and support executive decision-making. His expertise in program development, team coordination, and operational management ensures Malenesss continues to fulfill its mission effectively.
Known for his caring demeanor and respect for colleagues and patients alike, Isaac is dedicated to ensuring high-quality care and operational excellence. His leadership has been marked by his commitment to fostering a supportive and efficient work environment.
Outside of work, Isaac enjoys his time off exploring the outdoors with his loyal companion, George. He finds joy in camping trips that bring him closer to nature, challenging himself with long runs, or simply unwinding at the beach.

Perez Harrison Pratt is a dynamic marketer fueled by passion, empathy, and a thirst for adventure and has over five years of experience collaborating with prominent brands globally. Perez is dedicated to societal transformation, particularly advocating for diversity and inclusion.
He is currently the director of communications at Wellness Homes of Chicago, where he handles all marketing affairs, including internal and external communication. Prior to that, he worked as the director of marketing and head of communications for EBANMAN, an organization that showcases Black gay men across the globe, and First Brick, a London-based charity organization that provides housing for LGBTQ+ individuals.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a major in Marketing from Nexford University. He is pursuing a Master of Science in Marketing at the University of Glasgow, Scotland. He is an associate member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, London, and a member of Forbes BLK. Perez enjoys spending time with his fur baby, Bella.
Lisa Hinton is a Public Health Practitioner with over 25 years of experience in healthcare administration and public health. She holds a Masters of Public Health degree with an emphasis of Hospital Administration from Northern Illinois University. She has proven ability in evaluating existing operations and community needs to develop and implement process improvements and initiatives to drive enhanced patient access, improved health outcomes, community engagement, and overall health equity.
Previous positions include working for Susan G. Komen Senior Manager, Stand for HER (a health equity revolution), and the American Hospital Association (AHA) Institute for Diversity and Health Equity, where she was a Senior Health Equity and Value Advisor. Prior to working at AHA, she worked at the University of Chicago Medicine Comprehensive Cancer Center, Office of Community Engagement and Health Equity.
Also, she held previous research and management positions at Morehouse School of Medicine Department of Community Health and Preventive Medicine and the National Center for Primary Care. Additionally, she has served in a consultant capacity for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Robert Wood Johnon Foundation.
John Fleming, Jr. is the powerhouse behind MadMan Productions, blending his love for numbers and storytelling into a thriving entertainment and events brand. A Michigan State University graduate with degrees in Accounting and English, John’s passion for language stems from his belief that strong communication skills empower Black and Brown youth. While he didn’t pursue teaching, he mentored many young students early in his career.
After years in Corporate America, the unexpected events of 9/11 led John to take a leap of faith and start MadMan Productions. With dedication, he built a brand known for its impact, especially within the LGBTQ+ community. He pioneered events like Gay Comedy Nights, featuring legends like Sommore and Mo’Nique, and the beloved Lipstick & Lace, a staple for Chicago’s lesbian community for nearly two decades. His signature White & Black parties became national attractions, drawing crowds of nearly 1,000.
As Lipstick & Lace came to a close in 2019, John expanded his influence, taking on Chicago’s World AIDS Day Fashion Show, STRUT, which has now run for 16 years, raising crucial funds for HIV/AIDS services. As MadMan Productions celebrates 30 years, John continues to create events that bring people together through health, art, advocacy, music, and community. His legacy is one of passion, inclusivity, and groundbreaking entertainment.
Tom Logan is driven by a passion for connection and empowerment within the Black gay community. With over two decades of diverse corporate experience, ranging from account management to management roles, Tom made a pivotal decision to transition some of his skillsets into entrepreneurship. This shift was fueled by a deep-seated commitment to address the unmet needs and gaps in services for the Black LGBTQ community. Tom’s journey into entrepreneurship has been guided by his unwavering dedication to enhancing the lives of Black gay men. As a self-described connector, he has immersed himself in learning the intricacies of cultivating his passion and envisioning the lifestyle brand EBANMAN, which not only supports but uplifts his community.
The brand EBANMAN was driven by a desire to change the narrative for both current and future generations, Tom aspires to create a platform that provides resources and support tailored to the unique experiences of Black gay individuals. His vision is rooted in empowerment and aims to elevate the Black gay experience by bridging gaps and fostering a sense of unity and pride within the community. Tom Logan and the brand EBANMAN is poised to make a lasting impact, transforming the landscape for Black gay men and leaving a legacy of empowerment and inclusion.
Dr. Kahan Sablo has enjoyed a 25+ year career in higher education, supporting college students as a Senior Student Affairs leader and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion executive. After two college Dean positions and two university Vice Presidencies, Dr. Sablo has found a new calling. He is now a practicing mental health therapist, specializing in the care of historically marginalized communities. In addition, having lost over 200 lbs himself, he is currently employed as a Wellness Homes Mental Health Therapist, where he provides psychological care to individuals navigating a weight loss journey.
Dr. Sablo has an earned Doctorate in Education, a Master’s in Counseling and Psychological Services, a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree, and a Bachelor of Arts in Public Justice/minor in Health Science. In the community, Dr. Sablo is a licensed minister and gospel musician. Also, this former volunteer firefighter/paramedic was the first African American elected (twice) to the General McLane School District in Pennsylvania. In his free time, Dr. Sablo enjoys gardening and martial arts (Karate and Kung Fu). A proud member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Dr. Sablo faithfully served as the National Facilitator/President of Adodi for seven years. Adodi is the oldest spiritual organization for Black, same-gender-loving (gay) men in the United States.
Omari Kamal is an accountant and financial strategist with P&G Advisors, where he helps small businesses and nonprofit organizations scale with the same principles used by large corporations. With over two decades of experience spanning investment management, public accounting, and private equity, Omari has dedicated his career to demystifying financial success for entrepreneurs. His expertise lies in implementing proven frameworks like Profit First, Value Builder, and Traction to drive sustainable growth.
His commitment to financial empowerment extends beyond consulting—he envisions a future where small businesses and organizations have the knowledge and support to build wealth and to make a lasting impact.
Dennis is deeply passionate about promoting mental health awareness and equality for all. With a strong belief in the power of accessible resources and support systems, she is committed to creating healthier communities, particularly for those who are often underrepresented or encounter language barriers.
With a solid background in clinical research, Dennis has worked as a bilingual family liaison, blending research expertise with a deep commitment to supporting individuals and their families. She finds the process of working with data both fascinating and rewarding. Her experience in analyzing data has provided a deeper understanding of the challenges faced by underrepresented communities and has informed their work in seeking patterns.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Dennis worked closely with the Wellness Homes to support residential homes in receiving the COVID-19 vaccine, playing a vital role in safeguarding vulnerable populations during an uncertain time. This experience further solidified her commitment to equitable healthcare access and support for those in need.
Throughout her career, Dennis has remained dedicated to ensuring mental health care is both inclusive and effective. Dennis strives to break down barriers and provide resources that empower individuals, support families, and foster positive change within communities.
